  • DescriptionThis quest is given by Gatekeeper Chulkash in House Jorasco and takes place in the Xorian Cipher zone, which is inside of the Path to Madness. See the Path to Madness quest for details on how to move through that sub-zone en route to the main zone.

    Your goal once inside is to acquire the Xorian Cipher, but this is much easier than it sounds. There are unkillable orbs throughout the dungeon which will likely kill you instantly if they touch you. You can not kill them and they move in a random pattern, which makes avoiding them difficult. The best tactic is to stay as close to the walls as possible and to fight on staircases when they are available, as they can not crawl onto the staircases.

    You can eventually shut down the orbs by sealing all of the runes in the dungeon. Each of this is locked to a certain skill (strength, intelligence, charisma, etc) and requires a player with a skill of 20 or higher to deactivate it.

    When you reach the large room with the staircaseup, move up it. There appears to be no way across, but in fact you can walk across an invisible bridge in the center of it. You can then move to point #5 on our map.

    Following this you should move inside of points 6 and 7 to receive keys. You will notice that point 8 is in two locations. This is because you need two players on each side to stand on the pedestals to light them up. By using combinations of these you can open and shut the gates to point #9.
