| Description | This is the first quest in the Vault of Night series. It is obtained by speaking with Barrow d'Kundarak in House Kundarak. He sends you to see Marek Malcanus in the EverFull Flagon inn, who will allow you entrance into the Arena.
The Arena is an interesting adventure because you basically find yourself in a gladiator contest. You must first speak with the Promoter, who will refer you to the Registrar. Urgol the Registrar is behind one of the locked doors. He will set you up for the competition. You can then enter the arena by speaking with Gatekeeper Grotz (#4 on map). You will have to fight through several waves of enemies, culminating with Deadheart the Unbeaten and his sidekick (#5 on map). When they die the Promoter will take exception and attack you with a horde of friends. After this you must obtain the Oath of Drooam Axe from the southern side of the Arena. Hand this axe in to Dirge of Karnath (#6 on map) complete the quest. Be sure to speak to Marek after completing this quest to advance the Vault of Night series. |
