| Name | Trading Your Planar Shards |
| Category | General |
It took several days, almost a week, to unlock the Subterrane - Central. To the initiated, this is the pathway to the two new raids introduced in Module 7: The Way of the Monk. The Subterrane is directly below the ruins of the Market Bazaar. It is an underground tomb consructed by the giants and has been used by teh devils as a launching pad for their attacks on the city. It is basically a new explorer area similar to the Gianthold Ruins, The Vale of Twilight, The Orchard of Macabre, The Sands of Menechtarun, and similar areas. This is a good place to get additional experience points if you are not yet a level capped character.
While raids and the Subterrane central are the hot areas at this time, there is one added bonus to the game and it involves collecting Planar Shards from fallen creatures while doing the explorer quests. The Twelve provides material assistance to those who would wage war on the devils. The planar shards will be the proof of your valor. You can trade in these planar shards at the Marketplace bazaar ruins and look for Vagan Taneer, Artificer of the Twelve. What's good about this is that you don't need to collect a massive amount of planar shards to get some goodies.
Here's what you can get:
10 Planar Shards
Alabaster of the Twelve - Unique item. Casts Mass Cure Serious Wounds. Can be used 3 times
Emerald of the Twelve - Unique item. Casts Panacea. Can be used once.
Onyx of the Twelve - Unique item. Casts Raise Dead. Can be used once
25 Planar Shards
Jade of the Twelve - Unique item. Casts Panacea. Can be used twice.
Obsidian of the Twelve - Unique item. Casts Raise Dead. Can be used twice.
Diamond of the Twelve - Unique item. Casts Mass Cure Serious Wounds. Can be used 5 times.
50 Planar Shards
Sapphire of the Twelve - Unique item. Casts Mass Cure Critical Wounds. Can be used 5 times.
Topaz of the Twelve - Unique item. Casts Heal. Can be used once.
150 Planar Shards
Large Gem Bag
Large Collectible Bag
Large Ingredient Bag
If you notice, those that you get for just less than 150 Planar shards are far better than the ones being offered with 150 shards. So, you really don't need the 150 Planar shards, you can get by with just 10 to 50 shards. You can get at least 2 shards per run. It's not so bad because the raids are currently the "in" thing, so you are bound to get a lot of them each day. Happy hunting!
